David Guetta In The Making

If Lethal Rhythms had to choose a favorite DJ to write about their accomplishments, we would have to give recognition to David Guetta! Born in Paris, France, David Guetta became a professional producer and DJ that originally began his career in nightclubs during the 1980’s and 1990’s. One particular trait that DJ David Guetta displays is bringing in the top artists to collectively create the sickest beats.

David Guetta- Lethal Rhythms

As of today, David Guetta has released four albums, which include the following: Just A Little More Love, Guetta Blaster, Pop Life, and One Love. In addition to releasing four albums three hot singles made it to the top 5 in the US and all three made it to #1 in the UK!

Here are David’s hottest singles:

When Love Takes Over

David Guetta is known for producing the craziest beats of all time. This video is a perfect demonstration for showing his unique chameleon ability to work with a variety of music. Kelly Rowland and Guetta made an amazing team for this video. He did an incredible job creating the perfect background beats to her “romantic” themed lyrics. During the video, keep an eye out for his quirky, fun-loving side that shows as he dances and hangs with Rowland!

Gettin’ Over You

Guetta incorporates the hottest artists in this video, like Fergie, LMFAO, and Chris Willis, while showing him mixing the sickest beats. He did an astonishing job displaying how chill he is to work with. For example, when you see everyone crowd in the room as they are recording and he “just goes with the flow”. Seeing him in action, bringing in the top artists of today, and incorporating his laid back personality really brought this video to life!

Sexy Chick

This music video truly shows Guetta’s original mixing style. His beats are perfect for the club scene and put Sexy Chick on the top of the charts since its release. Guetta showed his fun; cool side when he enterd during the pool party, then got thrown into the pool! Working with Akon, another talented artist, just goes to show how unique his mixing style is.

Mindy Prince and David Soria booked Lethal Rhythms DJ Joel Rabe, Lethal Video, and our customized CD favors for their wedding on April 2, 2011 at The Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA. Here’s how their romantic fairytale began.

Mindy and Dave- Lethal Rhythms

Lethal Rhythms wanted to know the following about Mindy and Dave:

How did you enter into each other’s lives?

May 8th, 2005 Dave and I met at a bar called Brother Jimmy’s on the Upper East Side while we were both living in NYC.

For the bride: What was it, that demonstrated that this person was someone unique and

someone you would want to spend the rest of your life with?

I loved how he treated his sisters and mothers.  I knew he was very genuine and has been nothing but caring and selfless to me.

Please explain the scenario around the engagement.

The first week of October 2009, Dave told me I had to go to a business meeting with him and a client on that Friday which is not unusual.  He had chosen a restaurant at the beach call 11 South which is a VERY nice restaurant and one of our favorites.  Friday rolled along and I came home from work and took a nap.  I had to get up and iron my clothes for the evening.  While I was ironing in my sweats and looking somewhat unattractive, Dave was talking to me.  As he was talking he mentioned that he called my father.  Instantly, I got nervous and I turn around to put up the iron and I was like “For what????” and he said “For permission”……..and even more nervous I was like “Permission for what” and I turned around he was on one knee and said to “Marry Me”.  My instant reaction was to grab the ring out of the box and put it on my finger and then I said “Yes”.  Needless to say, there was no business dinner, but we still went out to dinner at 11 South and had a fabulous engagement dinner.

Why did you choose your facility?

We chose Savannah because we do have any family locally and it’s an easy not to mention beautiful location for all our guests.  It has so much to offer.  We chose the Mansion on Forsyth Park because I fell in love with it’s amazing art and eclectic furniture and chandeliers.

Mansion on Forsyth Park

Is there any personal significance to your bridal cake? And will there be a grooms cake? If so, what is the design of the cake going to be and why was that design chosen?

I wanted a piece of art incorporated on the cake. There is a grooms cake but it will be displayed during the Rehearsal Cocktail Hour.  It is the NY Yankees “NY” emblem.  Dave loves his Yankees.

What are your favorite Artists?

Mario Testino (photographer), Annie Leibovitz (photographer), Van Gogh, Matisse, Mark Rothko, and I adore Andy Warhol.

Why did you choose Lethal Rhythms?

After long research on the internet, we found that Lethal Rhythms was the most compatible to our style.  I didn’t want an “ordinary” DJ.  Music is an EXTREMELY important part of my life and it was important for me to work with someone who “gets it”.

“These guys are unbelievable! I cannot even begin to put into words how happy I was with them. From the ceremony music, dancing, keeping folks entertained, etc…they were best in class. I received more compliments on a job well done and just how professional and genuine they were to our guests, to other vendors, etc. I would get married again just to have the chance to use Lethal Rhythms again and again! Of course, to the same guy!

I have no preference to anyone there although DJ Joel was our guy……he had a team with him and everyone was exceptional. I could not be happier about using them! You can’t go wrong with these guys!”

Top 5 Songs and Artists for 2011

The music industry adds an edge to the entertainment world with the release of the hottest artists, albums, and singles climbing the charts this year! Listed below are the “Top 5 Songs and Artists for 2011” that are requested the most by Lethal Rhythms fans and clients.

Bruno Mars: “Grenade”

Bruno Mars is one of the hottest stars in the making for 2011. One of his traits as a talented artist is creating music that relates to both females and males. His new-featured song, Grenade is one of the best songs that has surfaced this year due to its popularity amongst both sexes. Bruno released his top song as the opener for his album, “Doo-wops & hooligans”. As one of Bruno’s favorite songs thus far, he hopes to take it further with releasing it as a single in the near future.

1)     Katy Perry: “Firework”

Not only is Katy Perry’s new song Firework listed as the number two most listened to single for 2011, it is also accompanied with an amazing video as well. When listening to Firework, you will begin to sense the powerful meaning behind the words and watching the video only adds to the intensity. Listed as her third single on her new album, “Teenage Dream” continues to make its way up the charts! Katy does an amazing job with displaying her passion and creativity all in one.

2)      Rihanna featuring Drake: “ What’s My Name”

Rihanna’s 8th number one hit single, What’s My Name, is posted on the Billboard Hot 100 and continues to climb the charts with popularity. As one of my personal favorites, I cannot get enough of it! My favorite part about her new single is that she adds the hottest beats with a Bohemian edge to it.

3)      Ke$ha: “We R Who We R”

Kesha’s new inspiring single, We R Who We R, sky rockets off her new album “Cannibal”. Kesha is  known for having a different style of music and We R Who WE R speaks for itself. It’s one of my favorite songs for 2011 because it celebrates all the eccentricities and little twirks that people have inside them. It has a catchy theme and perfect for any party scene!

4)     P!nk: “Raise Your Glass”

Pink always displays powerful messages in her albums and she continues to do so with her newest single Raise Your Glass. Pink is known to make personal connections with her audience and she hasn’t failed yet! Raise Your Glass brings awareness to the “underdogs” and displays a celebration of personal uniqueness that fans are sure to take in. Pink takes off with new album “Raise Your Glass” and continues to climb the charts for 2011!

Fresh Fridays!

Tracy and Rob- Lethal Rhythms Entertainment
I had the pleasure of working with Joel Rabe of Lethal Rhythms during the wedding of Tracy and Rob. I’ve worked with many djs before but Joel had me at hello…actually, he had me when he absolutely nailed the recessional music exactly the way Tracy requested at the exact moment they were pronounced man and wife {U2’s “Beautiful Day”}

What is the absolute #1 song that gets everyone on the dance floor? No matter what crowd it is?
The truth is, there is no one dynamic for a crowd but you can always fall back on a classic as long as it isn’t overplayed….Michael Jackson is always good but only if thrown in at the right time.
What is your favorite thing about being a dj?

Being able to surprise the dance floor with a unique spur of the moment mix that creates loads of energy and gets them yelling.

How long have you been a dj?
Started before college back in 1995 when turn tables was the only option {he can use 3 turn tables}… {aka professional entertainers…}

What is your favorite part of the wedding besides the dancing?
The fact that there is a real reason to celebrate. The bride and groom are celebrating a new beginning.

Tracy and Rob- Lethal Rhythms Entertainment

How did you get into the wedding industry?

When I first came to Atlanta in 1999 I attended a wedding at the Fox Theatre and at the time I was a professional trainer for djs on a nationwide club circuit and I couldn’t believe how basic the djs were in the Atlanta market at the time. So…I moved to Atlanta…

Top 5 songs to get people dancing:
1. Anything by Lady Gaga
2. Any classic rock and roll {like Journey…”Don’t Stop Believing” but mixed live with current hip hop beats}
3. Ladies love to dance to Top 40 like Ke$ha, Katy Perry
4. Music that takes people back like the 80’s (“Venus” by Banana Rama or the Go-Go’s)
5. Any hip hop tracks with a good beat (and a clean message)
